Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

• Account information (name, email, password hash, language).
• Buyer intake data you submit (location, immigration status indicators, credit/income/debt information, vehicle preferences).
• Documents you upload to the secure vault (IDs, paystubs, dealer quotes, contracts).
• Payment metadata (Stripe customer ID, last 4 digits, status). We never receive or store full card numbers.
• Usage data (pages viewed, actions taken) collected via privacy-preserving analytics.

2. How we use it

To deliver the advisory service you purchased, match you with an advisor, prepare deal reviews, calculate readiness scores, and improve the platform. We do not sell your information.

3. Who sees what

• You see all of your own information.
• Your assigned advisor sees your case, intake, vehicles, deal reviews, and documents.
• Our administrators see information for security, billing, and quality assurance.
• We do not share your information with dealers, lenders, brokers, or insurers without your explicit, per-instance consent.

4. Sub-processors

• Supabase (database, authentication, file storage)
• Stripe (payments)

• Sentry (error monitoring)
• PostHog (privacy-preserving product analytics)
• Vercel (hosting)

5. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by emailing privacy@autoexpertusa.com. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA; EU/UK residents under the GDPR. We honor verified requests within 30 days.

6. Retention

We retain advisory case records for up to 7 years after case closure for tax, accounting, and audit purposes. You may request earlier deletion subject to legal retention requirements.

7. Security

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Document uploads are stored in private buckets accessible only via short-lived signed URLs. Production access is limited to authorized personnel with two-factor authentication.

8. Cookies

We use first-party cookies for authentication and a small number of strictly-necessary functional cookies. We do not use advertising cookies.
